Meet Details
1st ANNUAL HOLMDEL INVITATIONAL
Saturday July 25, 2026 (Rain Date Sunday July 26th, 2026)

LOCATION: Holmdel Pool Club – 21 Bailey Lane, Holmdel, NJ
FORMAT: This is a 25-meter Short Course meet. All race starts will happen with the swimmer already in the water leaving from the wall. Swimmers must have at least one hand and one foot on the wall prior to the starting horn. This is not a USA or NJ Swimming sanctioned event.
FACILITY: One competition pool of 8 lanes. Colorado starting system with two Timer Drop plungers and one backup stop watch per lane to capture times. Meet Maestro will be used to record all times and results. Host will provide a marshalling area and ensure that all swimmers that are present at the marshalling area will be marshalled and then brought to starting area in their correct heats and lanes.
ELIGIBILITY/AGE: The event is open for swimmers age 6 to 18 years old. Swimmers age will be determined by that swimmer’s age as of June 1st 2026. Event 14A is a FREE open event for swimmers aged 19 to 99.
ENTRIES: Registration opens on April 1st 2026. Swimmers may enter a maximum of three (3) individual events plus one (1) relay event. Entry Fees - $15 flat fee per swimmer. Entries due no later than Friday July 17th at 8PM. All swimmers must register for the meet through the Holmdel Rec Desk (Holmdel NJ > Home). Payment will be collected at time of registration. For seeding purposes actual or estimated times will be needed for all individual entries. Coaches from attending teams can preset relays and submit race times. Everyone who requests a relay will swim in one. Meet program will be set three days prior to meet. No deck (day of meet) entries will be accepted. No refunds for scratches after meet program has been set.
Individual Awards: Medals will be awarded for places 1st through 6th for individual events and 1st through 3rd for relay events. Medals will be handed out during the meet as results are completed. Coaches, swimmers, or their parents can pick up these awards at the award desk. Heat winner ribbons will be awarded to the winner of each race heat in all events.
Team Awards: Team trophies for 1st through 3rd will also be awarded to the three highest scoring teams. Team points will be awarded as follows – individual events: Top 15 places will earn points. Point breakdown 15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1. Relays: Top 10 places will earn points. Point Breakdown 20,18,16,14,12,10,8,6,4,2. Team scores will be announced at several points throughout the meet.
Officiating: All officials will be provided by the host. This is a summer swim event that will enforce proper stroke and turn technique.
Timing of Meet: Saturday July 25th. Doors open: 6AM. First Warm up 6:15AM, Second Warm-up 6:45AM. (Warmup times and lanes will be assigned once entries are finalized). National Anthem 7:20AM. Races Start 7:30AM.
EVENTS: Events will be seeded Slow to Fast and swum as Timed Finals. Please note event 14A is an open event for all ages 19 to 99.

It is understood that Holmdel Pool Club, all officials and volunteers, and the Township of Holmdel shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. Damage to the facility, when proven, will cause the offending swimmer or swimmers, if unattached, or the offending swimmer’s club if attached, to be accountable for repairs.
